Illegal Immigration and the U.S. Census

With the thousands of illegal aliens headed toward our southern border, the battle has heated up across party lines as to whether they should be allowed to enter our country. Republicans want to enforce our laws, build the wall, and ONLY allow those who come here legally. The Democrats, of course, want an open border and to allow any and all who want to come to this country no matter who they are and their intentions once here.

 We watched as past administrations caved to pressure from the Open Borders crowd by not securing the border for fear of political pushback. However, one man dared to tell the truth about the dangers of an open border. Then-candidate Donald J. Trump came down that escalator and shared his vision to Make American Great Again. He said what needed to be said without fear, and the American people rallied around him and elected him to handle the mess this country had become.

For far too long, those from other countries have come here by sneaking across our border and living in the shadows. We’ve been told we should feel bad for them, but over time, we’ve all seen this way of thinking has only added to a problem NONE of us ever wanted in OUR homeland… drugs, crime, and the weakening of our economy. However, there is another result of unfettered illegal immigration: political power.

How is that possible, you ask? I believe the TRUE reason the Democrats push so hard for illegal immigrants isn’t only for their potential vote. No, not at all. I firmly believe the true reason is to pad the U.S. census numbers. With the 2020 Census coming up, what better way to get MORE apportionment of Congressional representatives?

 If the population of illegal aliens and other long-term foreign residents were inconsequential, this would not be an important issue. However, with millions of more persons counted in the Census than the number of U.S. citizens, this is a valid major concern. Because illegal aliens should not be here in the first place, and other non-immigrants such as foreign students and guest workers are here only temporarily, it makes no sense to distribute Congressional seats as if these foreign nationals deserved representation the same as American citizens.

The U.S. population that logically should be counted in the census includes U.S. citizens and legal permanent residents. As only U.S. citizens may vote in federal elections, the apportionment of seats in Congress should only be done by the number of citizens in each state. Also, the apportionment of federal funds should be solely based on the number of citizens and legal residents of each state.

As you can clearly see states with large numbers of illegal aliens and other non-citizens, Democrats gain the advantage of additional representation in Congress. This is done at the expense of states with fewer illegal aliens and non-citizens since the total number in the House of Representatives is currently fixed by law at 435 members. If the seats in the House of Representative were reapportioned based on the distribution of U.S. citizens, the big loser of seats would be California, losing at least 6 seats. Three other states with large immigrant populations both legal and illegal would also lose at least one seat each: Texas, New York, and Florida. The winners in this reallocation of congressional representation would be the residents of Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Mississippi, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, and Wisconsin. Those states each would gain at least one additional representative. Do you see a pattern here?

So, every time you hear a Democrat demanding an open border and rights for illegal immigrants, it's NOT compassion for the down-trodden. We all know that voter fraud is a major problem. However, I believe the true reason behind their protests is the desire for additional Democrat Representatives in Congress. That’s right, MORE POWER!

 We need to stop allowing the Democrats to cheat the American citizens by padding the Congress with additional, undeserved Representatives. The 2020 U.S. Census is right around the corner, which is why I’m sure they want as many illegal immigrants flooding over our southern border.

Is Illegal Immigration a Victimless Crime?

With the images of THOUSANDS of people from Central American marching toward our southern border, we must stop our elected officials from turning a blind eye to the threat they bring with them.

A discussion for quite some time is do unskilled illegal immigrants truly lower the wages of blue-collar jobs in the US? With the Democrats wanting to open our southern border to untold THOUSANDS of illegal immigrants, this is a serious topic for many American workers.

I remember when growing up in Central California, how each harvest season there would be low-skilled workers from south of the border come to work. In my area just north of Sacramento, the tomato harvest was a big deal and many high school students would work on the harvesters as a summer job. However, over the years that seemed to change with the influx of Mexican workers taking those summer jobs. Besides, it appears once you get a generation or two from the original ones who came here, their children and grandchildren don't appear to be doing the work anymore.

 However, over the years, it has seemed to branch out into other jobs. Whenever I hear a Democrat say we need illegal immigrants to pick our crops I cringe. First, it’s rather insulting to hear that they will do the work most Americans refuse to do. True, standing out in the hot sun, picking produce isn’t the most glamorous job, but I’m sure there are Americans who would gladly take the job if it was available to them for a fair wage. Picking crops, working in a fast food restaurant flipping burgers, mowing yards, among other low skilled jobs used to be a first job. They were never intended to be a career and done to support a family.

 The last time I checked, many workers in other fields have lost their jobs to low skilled illegal immigrant workers who are willing to work for less. I remember how a turkey processing plant in California, Missouri replaced their workers with immigrant workers to cut the cost of salaries they paid. Many of the American workers had been with the company for years, but that didn’t matter to the bottom line. The immigrant workers were bussed in with government approval, and put to work, taking good jobs from more Americans.

We are constantly told how much in taxes illegal immigrants pay. However, do they really pay that much in taxes to offset the expense of having them here? The answer is NO.

In 2017, FAIR's "The Fiscal Burden of Illegal Immigration on United States Taxpayers" report put the total cost of illegal immigration at $135 billion a year, while claiming undocumented immigrants paid only $19 billion a year in taxes. That leaves a net cost to local, state and federal governments of $116 billion per year. If you read the report, you will see just how much they cost the American taxpayer each and every year. With the howls of how we cannot afford to build the wall, this shows that we could pay for the wall the first year and have plenty of money left over to spend on improving things for the American citizen.

Another problem of opening our southern border to illegal immigrants is crime. Not only do we have to contend with violent criminals, but we also have the problem of stolen identities.

According to a recent article in The Epoch Times, studies have found that identity theft done for the purpose of illegal employment by someone in the country illegally represent a very large share of all identity theft cases. It is estimated to be between 30 percent and 60 percent of all identify fraud,”

One such case mentioned in the article states how an illegal alien stole the identity of an elderly man living in Louisiana. This poor man was denied veterans’ benefits and some other things that he was entitled to because this illegal alien apparently had been siphoning off a lot of his benefits and defrauding the man.

The article goes on to state how once identity theft is detected, it’s only the beginning for the victim. One help website says it takes up to 600 hours of contacting the appropriate institutions and agencies, reporting the fraud, getting credit repair, and attempting to reverse the damage.

A quarter of victims end up borrowing money and 15 percent are forced to relocate and sell possessions, according to the Identity Theft Resource Center.

It can also be a huge problem if your credit has been trashed by someone racking up bills or creating a criminal history in your name. This is very difficult to get erased.

So, as you can see, illegal immigration IS NOT a victimless crime. The American people and LEGAL immigrants deserve better. We must force our elected officials to stop the influx of illegal immigrants flooding across our southern border, once and for all.

The Trump Agenda and The War of Words

Nothing could have prepared those on the Left for a President Trump. He came into the White House like a raging lion and has shown the world what TRUE leadership looks like. While the nuts in the liberal media do their best to twist every single word the President says, we, as Patriots need to stop allowing them to control the narrative.

One such example is how we refer to the children brought here illegally by their parents. I’m sorry, but every time I hear someone say, “children brought her through no fault of their own,” I nearly LOSE it!

By allowing that term to stand, we are painting a picture of poor little children being ripped from the arms of their parents and taken away by the meanie Republicans and President Trump.

No, that’s not what’s happening. Those children are NOT victims of a cruel, uncaring government. They are children brought here illegally. Just because they are children, it does not give them the right to be here. They are illegal aliens, just like their parents.

I’m sorry, but that is the excuse used to force Americans to say we need to let mom and dad stay too because we can’t separate the family. Okay, so if a family decides to move into YOUR house against your will, you can’t force them to leave because the children are there through no fault of their own? Doesn’t sound so good now, does it?

Another term that gets me worked up is Dreamers. That’s another way to stop Americans from demanding them returned to the country of their parents. I may sound like a heartless bitch, but when I see young adults holding a sign and demanding that I pay for their college and turn a blind eye to the fact they are breaking the law by being here just gets my blood boiling.

What about our children and grandchildren? Why aren’t they Dreamers? Why aren’t they entitled to the special privileges like the so-called Dreamers? While many support the DACA kids, I don’t. Once you become an adult, I believe it’s your responsibility to take the proper steps to become a legal resident of this country. Marching and demanding the American people give you something you’ve not earned is wrong. Call me heartless, I just don’t care.

The lies told to garner support for illegals is never-ending.  The one about nursing babies ripped from their mother's arms is a classic example. According to ICE agents it NEVER happened, but hey, it makes for great propaganda, right?

Then there’s the term, UNDOCUMENTED immigrant. What the hell is that? So, does that mean a drug dealer is an undocumented pharmacist? I don’t think so. It just means you don’t have the proper documentation, pure and simple. It doesn’t make you legal. Nope, you’re still breaking the law.

With our DC lawmakers voting on the illegal immigrant issue next week, we need to remind them not to fall into the liberal word trap. Those children that the liberals claim are being mistreated by President Trump would not be taken from their parents had their parents entered the US the right way… LEGALLY!

The GREAT Flip: Democrats and Illegal Immigration

Ever since then-candidate Donald Trump announced his bid for the Oval Office, the Democrats have gone after him, doing their best to label him a bigot and hater of immigrants. It doesn’t matter that his mother and wife are immigrants. The fact those on the left seem to leave out is Trump was talking about ILLEGAL immigrants. You know, the ones that sneak over our border, refusing to go by our immigration laws.

Well, while the likes of Obama, Schumer, Feinstein, and Clinton just to name a few point fingers at President Trump for not being compassionate to those “only wanting a better life”, let’s see what they’ve said before on the subject.

All the way back in 2006 there was a bill put before Congress to strengthen our border. The law passed with a majority of votes. It’s too bad they never acted on it. Below are the DEMOCRATS who voted to secure our border. I’m sure you’ll see those who are attacking President Trump today.

Huh, funny how they’ve forgotten their stand on securing our border. But, let’s hear it from their own mouth…

1993-1994 Diane Feinstein (D-CA) was against illegal immigration and believed American citizens and those here LEGALLY should come first.

From CNN Democratic primary debate between Barak Obama and Hillary Clinton on Jan. 31/08, Hillary blames Latino illegals for the African-American Employment problems of the time. Wow, she was blaming others back then too. LOL

Chuck Schumer in 2009 stated: Illegal Immigration is wrong, plain and simple.

Okay, I know Harry Reid is gone, but this was too good not to share with you.

Here’s some more Democrats who have changed their stance on illegal immigration:

In 2013, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) urged the House to support a bill that upheld the basic principle of securing our borders. Pelosi said: “The bipartisan taskforce of seven has been hard at work on legislation that echoes the spirit of the Senate bill and upholds our basic principles: to secure our borders, protect our workers, unite families, and offer an earned pathway to citizenship.”

In 2013, Senator Claire McCaskill (D-MO) said she supported the Border Security, Economic Opportunity, and Immigration Modernization Act because it drastically strengthens border security. “I supported this solution because it dramatically strengthens border security, punishes employers who hire undocumented immigrants, and includes stiff consequences for those who came here illegally-while ensuring they start paying into the system.”

In 2013, Senator Joe Manchin (D-WV) stated he only supported the Border Security, Economic Opportunity, and Immigration Modernization Act only after the Senate agreed on an amendment to significantly strengthen border security. Manchin went on to say: “This bill, first and foremost, secures our borders by adding 700 miles of fencing, doubles the number of border patrol agents by 20,000, and makes sure that dangerous criminals who entered this country illegally are deported first.”

In the past, Democrats were more than willing to offer huge sums of taxpayer money to keep illegal immigrants out of the United States. It doesn’t matter how much they fuss today because securing our southern border was an issue in Washington DC well before then-candidate Donald Trump made it the centerpiece of his candidacy.

It's time to educate their blind-followers on the left of the truth. Their leaders in the Democrat party are playing them for fools... again!

A Democrat state lawmaker in Massachusetts has been caught tipping off illegals – many of whom are violent street gang members, child sex offenders and drug traffickers – to imminent Immigration and Customs Enforcement raids Tuesday, even telling criminal targets not to open their doors, to stay silent, to refuse to sign anything and to “fight back” with an attorney.
An Immigration and Customs Enforcement spokesman suggested to WND that the lawmaker is “doing a disservice to the community” and “endangering public safety” with her statements.

Massachusetts State Rep. Michelle DuBois, a Democrat representing the 10th Plymouth District, warned illegals about imminent federal immigration raids scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday in Brockton, a city just 25 miles outside of Boston. DuBois posted the warning on her Facebook page. She included a phone number illegal aliens may call if they’re caught in an immigration raid.
In January 2016, federal authorities arrested 56 members of MS-13, a highly organized and well-funded Central American gang known for its brutal acts of violence, in and around the Boston area. They were indicted on conspiracy charges and charges related to murder, conspiracy to commit murder and attempted murder. Some were also charged with other offenses, including drug trafficking and firearm violations. According to the indictment, several of the individuals were involved in the murders of at least five people since 2014 and the attempted murders of at least 14 people.
MS-13’s motto is “Mata, viola, controla” – kill, rape, control.
A 2016 U.S. Department of Justice press release stated: “Members of the MS-13 organization in Massachusetts sell cocaine, heroin, and marijuana, and commit robberies, in order to generate income to pay monthly dues to the incarcerated leadership of MS-13 in El Salvador. This money is allegedly used to pay for weapons, cell phones, shoes, food, and other supplies for MS-13 members in and out of jail in El Salvador.”
Despite the horrific illegal-alien gang violence in the area, DuBois felt compelled to warn lawbreakers of impending immigration raids.
“I got the following information from my friend in the Latin community: ‘I have a message for the immigrant community of Brockton. Please be careful on Wednesday 29. ICE will be in Brockton on that day,'” DuBois wrote on her Facebook page.
“If you are undocumented don’t go out on the street. If there is a knock on the door of your house and you don’t know who it is, don’t open the door. I ask you to be careful.”

DuBois also provided a chart so illegals will know “What to do if ICE comes to your door.”

Time to speak up

Well, I must say the first month of the Trump administration has been a WILD ride.  I knew the Democraps and their clueless foot soldiers would try to stir up trouble, but I never imagined the lengths they would go.  I guess I shouldn't be surprised, though.

When I started this little blog I did it to give me a place to come and vent without getting blocked by Facebook.  I feel a lot like the Conservative Actors in Hollywood at times.  Being a Conservative Trump supporter and an Author on Facebook at times isn't a good combination.

I'm sorry I haven't written any posts the last few weeks, but I was buried in a few projects that took every waking moment; however, now I'm ready to speak my mind again....so here goes.

I cannot begin to say how proud I am to say, President Trump.  Just the sound is music to my ears.  When I watched him place his hand on the bible and take his oath, tears of pride streamed down my cheeks.  Then I waited to see what wonderful things he would tackle first.

Well, he did not disappoint.  Right out of the gate, he started fulfilling the promises he made on the campaign trail.  Wow, how refreshing!!  For a politician to actually follow through on their promises was a welcome surprise.

Now, don't get me wrong, I knew the Democraps were going to bitch and moan about ANYTHING President Trump wants to do to MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN, but they have stooped to a low that amazes me.  From sending out violent protesters to cause harm, to working behind the scenes to sabotage this country in the eyes of the world, I guess there is nothing below them to do.

Since Hillary's humiliating defeat, we have heard the steady drumbeat of how the Russians handed the election to President Trump.  We have also heard how those of us on the right are guilty of every hate filled "ism" known to man.  I've always been one who believed that everytime you point an accusing finger at someone, there are more fingers pointing back at you.  I do have to laugh each time the Liberals claim President Trump and those of us who support him are guilty of some dastardly deed because it's usually something they are guilty of doing themselves.

Now, we have the escalated war from those in the media.  I must say I've enjoyed watching them lose their damn minds more and more every day.  While I enjoyed the regular daily White House pressers, the one that our President did the other day was a sight to behold.  To watch him dance above the media fold gathered there while letting them know HE is the one in control NOT them, was truly a thing of beauty.  They all remind me of a bunch of spoiled brats being put in their place for the first time and not sure how it happened.

Another thing that has the Democraps in a tither is how President Trump is wanting to protect us from Islamic Terrorists and Illegal's flooding into our country.  I've been shocked at some of the pictures on social media with idiots welcoming terrorists with signs professing their support of people who would kill them without a second thought.

Then this week they decided it would be a good idea to have a "Day without Immigrants" to show how important it is to us as a nation to support immigration.  I don't know about you, but I have NO problem is LEGAL immigration.  I do; however, have a BIG problem with ILLEGAL immigration.  Calling someone "undocumented" doesn't change the fact that they came here ILLEGALLY and is breaking our law by being here.  Then when they use a fake Social Security number, they are now guilty of identity fraud.  The last time I checked it's a felony to commit identity theft.

My fellow Patriots, it looks like it's gonna continue to be a wild ride, but I have faith in our President and the American loving Patriots.  Those who would rule us are taking their last gasps in this battle, and I for one am ready to toss them into the trash heap of history.

I've decided to try and do a weekly post to share my thoughts on the events playing out before us.  I'm sure I won't run out of things to comment on since every day seems to be full of breaking news.
