Post-Debate Opinion

By Linda L Barton
As millions of the American people tuned in this last Monday evening for the first Presidential Debate between the Democrat Candidate, Hillary Clinton and the Republican Candidate, Donald J Trump, we all held our breath wondering what would happen.

Would Hillary "short circuit" and/or lie endlessly, or would Trump lose his composure and go after Hillary with guns blazing?

As a staunch Trump supporter, I have to say that I was disappointed that Hillary didn't experience one of her now famous "episodes", but she didn't let me down on her inability, to tell the truth.  I gagged every time she brought up the supposed Fact Checkers.  This from a woman who lies about EVERYTHING???   Then when she made the snarky comment about Trump "living in his own world", I'm glad I didn't have anything in my mouth at the time because I probably would have choked.  This said by a woman who has absolutely NO grip on reality.

Now, on to Trump's performance.  First of all, I think he did a good job.  Not a great job, but good for his first time with a platform such as that one.  I do have to say that he started out strong.  He was clear and spoke with authority when it came to the economy, taxes, and how best to create jobs by taking the burden off the true job makers...the American businessman.

However, as the debate went on Trump seemed to fall back on his heels.  He was given plenty of opportunities to after Hillary on issues that she cannot defend.  Instead of worrying about a fallen beauty queen and other stupid topics....just stick to the script!!  Trump needs to learn how to pivot the conversation around to things important to the American people: Jobs, Illegal Immigration, National Security, Revoking Obamacare, and Terrorism.

Hillary is going to try and use the "Woman Card" against Trump should he go after her many scandals.  I believe that Trump can stop her in her tracks by just saying this first.

"Madam Secretary, out of respect for the position you held and your desire to be President of the United States, I will not treat you any differently than I would a man."  Then go after her. By doing it that way, I firmly believe those who would want to cry sexism would be hard pressed to complain that he didn't show her the respect they say she deserves as a woman.

Donald Trump has a difficult battle ahead for him, so he needs to be prepared for any and all crap that Hillary and the Liberal Media will throw at him.  He needs to stop with all the counter-punching and just turn things around on her.  Don't give Hillary the opportunity to land a single blow.  Trump needs to stay light on his feet, don't give Hillary a still target.  Every time she tries to bring up something negative about Trump, he needs to weave and bob like a nimble boxer and set her up for a clean punch with the truth of her corruption.

Now, I'm not a professional, but I know common sense.  Trump needs to use his common sense against Hillary and stop playing by her rules.  He needs to watch the debate, see where he went wrong and where he was strong.  Then he needs to go to the next debate ready to take her on, and NOT let her control the narrative.

Now we wait for round 2

New Revelations: Two Scandals Getting Worse, The IRS And The Emails

Infuriating! IRS Fraud, deception, and criminality known about and covered up.

Many just "knew" that the 2012 election was stolen one way or another. The current occupant is in the Oval Office by way of theft aided and abetted by IRS obstruction and treachery.

Another Outrage:  New emails suggest that the Obama State Department knew about the Clinton email problem for at least three years but covered it up. Any criminal investigation of the Clinton email scandal must include officials in the Obama administration.

Democratic Senator Sought DOJ and IRS Prosecutions of Conservatives
It wasn’t just Obama’s Internal Revenue Service that sought to suppress conservative voices in order to help him retain the presidency in 2012.

We learned further of a dangerous enterprise involving a key Democratic Senator and the Obama Justice Department from 72 pages of Justice documents we released this week. They reveal email conversations between Department of Justice officials and the staff of Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse (D-RI) regarding the criminal prosecution of Tea Party and other conservative groups for fanciful violation of IRS rules.

The conversations were in preparation for a briefing by Justice Department officials for Sen. Whitehouse’s staff and for a Senate Judiciary Subcommittee on Crime and Terrorism hearing on April 9, 2013. One internal agency email exchange indicates Sen. Whitehouse’s interest in seeking criminal prosecution of groups targeted by the IRS:

Subject: RE: New Whitehouse question regarding Campaign Finance Investigation and Prosecution
Importance: High
All: New question from Sen. Whitehouse. Sen. Whitehouse is likely to ask AAAG Raman whether the Department of Justice is too deferential to IRS in deciding to prosecute 501(c) organizations that make fraudulent statements regarding their political activities in their IRS filings. Sen. Whitehouse is curious why, for example, if a 501(c) tax organization files were leaked, and they clearly showed that make false statements, why the Department of Justice wouldn’t prosecute the case by itself and not wait for the IRS. Looping in the Tax Division who also can help CRIM come up with a quick  response.  Thanks, Bill.
We uncovered the documents through a federal court order in a Judicial Watch Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit (Judicial Watch v Department of Justice (No. 1:14-cv-01239)).

Later, at the Judiciary Subcommittee hearing, Sen. Whitehouse asked why the Department of Justice wasn’t prosecuting political groups on its own, independently of the IRS.

“I would urge that the Department and the Service get together and rethink whether in these two specific areas, which I think bear little resemblance to traditional tax violations and are in fact very plain-vanilla criminal cases, whether or not that deference to the IRS is actually serving the public interest at this point, or whether the Department could not proceed to … put together a criminal case showing a fairly straightforward false statement or a fairly [straightforward] shell corporation disclosure violation.”
The newly released emails show that following the hearing, at the request of Justice Department lawyers, Sen. Whitehouse’s staff sent over examples of the organizations Whitehouse had in mind for prosecution. They included American Future Fund, Crossroads GPS, Americans for Responsible Leadership, Freedom Path, American is Not Stupid, Inc., RightChange.com II, and A Better America Now. All of these are conservative organizations.

The new emails also show collaboration in the Department of Justice with officials in the IRS in preparing for the hearing. The IRS sent a draft of its planned testimony for the hearing to the Justice Department. Judicial Watch previously exposed a plan by the Obama IRS and Justice Department prosecutors to pursue criminal charges against the very Tea Party and anti-Obama groups that the IRS was targeting.  We uncovered two years ago how Lerner described the impetus for the left-wing prosecution effort in 2013 email to top IRS staff:

As I mentioned yesterday — there are several groups of folks from the FEC world that are pushing tax fraud prosecution for c4s who report they are not conducting political activity when they are (or these folks think they are).  One is my ex-boss Larry Noble (former General Counsel at the FEC), who is now president of Americans for Campaign Reform.  This is their latest push to shut these down.  One IRS prosecution would make an impact and they wouldn’t feel so comfortable doing the stuff.
So, don’t be fooled about how this is being articulated – it is ALL about 501(c)(4) orgs and political activity.

But in an email sent a few minutes earlier, Lerner acknowledged prosecutions would evidently be at odds with the law:

Whether there was a false statement or fraud regarding an [sic] description of an alleged political expenditure that doesn’t say vote for or vote against is not realistic under current law.  Everyone is looking for a magic bullet or scapegoat — there isn’t one.  The law in this area is just hard.
The Obama administration prosecution effort seemingly ended with the exposure of the IRS targeting in a May 2013 report by the Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration (TIGTA). IRS official Lois Lerner did not reveal the targeting until just before the report’s release, in response to a planted question at an American Bar Association conference.

What’s going on here is obvious: an abuse of power by Democrats in Congress, who wanted to intimidate and possibly jail Obama’s political opponents to help secure Obama’s reelection. Americans should know that the courts have recently concluded that the Obama IRS abuses haven’t stopped – even as we approach another presidential election.

A 2013 study by scholars from the American Enterprise Institute and the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University found that, “had the Tea Party groups continued to grow at the pace seen in 2009 and 2010, and had their effect on the 2012 vote been similar to that seen in 2010, they would have brought the Republican Party as many as 5 – 8.5 million votes compared to Obama’s victory margin of 5 million.”

Will the IRS help the Left steal another election in 2016?

Is it Freedom of Speech or Disrespect?

With all the controversy happening this election cycle, I thought it was important to touch on one thing that seems to be growing every day.  The Black Lives Matters movement has grown to a point where just saying you disagree with their often violent actions, gets you labeled a racist and hater. It seems to be okay to attack someone just because they're white.  It also seems to be happening far too often lately, as you see the reports of people beaten, and some even killed after being targeted by those in the fringes of the Black Lives Matters Movement.

Now, let's talk about the current protests happening in the world of football.  One player decided to protest by not standing for the National Anthem, and now others seem to feel the need to join in.  I'm sorry, but I'm having a hard time processing all of this.  Those players make MILLIONS of dollars and they seem to think if they sit out the National Anthem, it will somehow make a difference.  Why not get involved in the areas they claim are suffering?  Why not act as role models, letting underprivileged children know that through hard work and staying out of trouble, they can also know the same success.  They are stoking the fires of hate and only adding to the problems we are facing as Americans today.

I may be old-fashioned, but this whole hating America stuff is wrong!  If it's so damn bad here, there are plenty of other countries where you can take you spoiled, overpaid ass to live.  My husband is a football fan, BUT he has said if he sees any player sitting or taking a knee during the National Anthem, he will change the channel.  He said he doesn't care if it's the team he supports or not.  In fact, he sent a message to his favorite team, letting them know if any of their players join in on this protest, he will NO LONGER support the team by watching their games.

We, the fans, need to stand up and let the owners know they will lose money because we will NOT support their team if they allow this to continue.  The players may have their freedom of speech, BUT so do we.  We can exercise our freedom of speech by not supporting ANY team that allows this disrespect of our flag and country.

I remember a slogan that was quite popular several years ago that needs to come back today...

America, Love It or Leave It!!

Is Hillary sick or just lying again?

Drip, Drip, Drip...the constant release of Hillary's email is showing just how corrupt she has always been.  Now we hear about 13 different cell phones; two of which were apparently destroyed with a hammer, and now we learn a laptop computer containing classified information got lost in the mail.  What the hell is going on?

Those in the liberal media are twisting themselves into knots, trying to divert the attention of what's coming out on a daily basis, and focus their attention on their contrived stories of how Trump is evil and bad.  I'm sorry, but there's something that needs to be said, so here goes.

I'm sure Hillary is facing a major health issue and is doing everything she can to hide it from the voters; however, there's something she's done that's far worse...she has lied about how she treated classified materials. I look at it this way...either her health issues make her ineligible to be President because she can't remember anything, or she's a danger to national security because of the way she has knowingly treated classified materials.

I remember when my husband and I had to go through the background check to haul sensitive military freight when we were owner/operators. We went through an extensive FBI background check, then we had to sign a form stating we understood what our duties were when hauling the specialized loads. I remember my hand shaking when I signed my name to the bottom of that form because I knew if I screwed up, I was facing 10 years in federal prison AND a $100,000 fine. Our clearance wasn't near what Hillary had, so for her to act as though she didn't know is a crock of shit!!

Hillary signed that form just like I did. So, it doesn't matter if her health is an issue or her reckless handling of classified materials.   Either way, she should not be trusted to be President!  Sorry Hillary, but at this point, it DOES MATTER!!!
