Our President Speaks to All Americans

By Linda L Barton

Last night I watched a speech from our President that was clear, informative, and full of hope for our country.  Now, I'm not saying that's the opinion of those from the left, but for the average American, I'm sure they felt the same sense of pride that I did as President Trump stood in front of that large gathering and proved to the world why he is the one who wants to lead us as we fulfill this country's great potential.

I had wondered how the Democraps would respond, and of course, they did not disappoint.  I had to laugh at the foolish women, all dressed in white, as a protest against President Trump because they seem to believe he has plans to harm women's rights.  Boy, they really need to pay closer attention to what he's been doing lately for women in business.

Once the speech began, I held my breath at what he would say.  I knew it would be good, but I was
pleasantly surprised at just how good it was.  Last night, I didn't see the Trump we all came to love
during the campaign.  No, last night, I saw a strong leader, a statesman, a President for all Americans. He stood on that stage, in front of a gathering of elected officials, of which half of them appeared to be hostile captives (yes, that's how the Democraps looked), and gave a speech that will go down in history as one of the greatest given by a President.  It was positive, patriotic, heartwarming, and a call to greatness.

However, it appeared the Democraps saw something entirely different.  A few times they stood and applauded, but for the most part, they sat on their hands and sulked.  I'm sure as the evening progressed, they saw their power over the American people slipping away and their dream for a Socialist America die right before their eyes.

Then our President paid honor to the wife of our slain warrior.  The loving message he had for that grieving wife brought tears to my eyes.  I've seen Presidents do that sort of thing before, but not with the depth of compassion I witnessed last night.  Our military, for the last 8 years, had a President that did not respect or care for their wellbeing.  Last night, this President proved that he not only respects those who serve this country but he also he appreciates their sacrifices.  It was one of the most beautiful and heartwarming moments I've ever seen in a Presidential speech.

Then once the speech concluded, I held my breath to see what the Fox News pundits had to say.  In the past, they had wasted no time to rip into what President Trump had to say; however, last night a miracle happened.  Even those who have spared no opportunity to go after our President in the past actually spoke positively about his speech.

Of course, Juan Williams tripped all over himself trying to find fault with what President Trump said and proved once again what a fool he is.

Last night's speech reached a new high for Presidental speeches.  Whether you are a Republican, Democrat, or Independent, President Trump reached out to you in a way not seen in politics today.  He showed that he wants us to be a united country.  Polls taken after the speech showed an overwhelmingly positive response from the American people. Then this morning, the stock market broke the 21,000 mark, showing their comfort with his leadership.  Last night, President Trump showed the world that he IS our President.  And I for one, and thrilled to call him mine.

God Bless You, My Fellow Patriots
and
God Bless the USA
